Overview
Restoring a full smile
When all the teeth in an arch are lost, complete dentures rebuild your smile and your ability to eat and speak. A well-made denture also supports your lips and cheeks, so your face looks fuller.
We take detailed impressions and carefully record your bite so the denture fits securely and comfortably. The teeth are selected to suit your face, age and skin tone for a result that looks entirely natural, not artificial or overly perfect.
For patients who want even greater stability, complete dentures can be anchored onto a small number of implants. This greatly reduces slipping and often makes chewing and speaking feel much more secure.
Your gums and jawbone change over time, so we plan your denture around a thorough examination and stay with you for adjustments long after it is fitted.
Is it right for you?
Who complete dentures are for
Complete dentures may be right for you in a range of situations. These are some of the most common reasons patients in Amritsar come to see us. Your dentist will advise after examining your gums, bone and any remaining teeth.
- You have lost all teeth in an archWhether teeth were lost over many years or more recently, a complete denture can restore chewing, speech and the shape of your smile.
- Your remaining teeth cannot be savedIf the few teeth you have left are badly decayed, loose or failing, your dentist may discuss removing them and moving to a complete denture.
- Your current denture is loose or wornGums and bone shrink over time, so older dentures often become loose, click when you talk or rub. A new denture or a reline can help.
- Your face looks sunkenWithout teeth to support them, lips and cheeks can fall inwards. A well-designed denture helps restore natural facial support.
- Eating has become difficultIf you avoid many foods or struggle to chew, a properly fitted denture can make meals more comfortable and help you eat a more varied diet.
- You want more stabilityIf a conventional lower denture moves too much, implant-retained dentures may give you a firmer hold. Your dentist will check whether implants suit you.
Treatment options
Options for full tooth loss
There is no single denture that suits everyone. These are the main solutions we offer, and we will help you choose the one that fits your needs.
Conventional dentures
Made after the gums have healed from extractions for a precise, stable fit you can rely on every day. Healing usually takes some weeks, and your dentist will advise on timing.
Immediate dentures
Fitted on the same day teeth are removed, so you are not left without teeth while you heal. As the gums settle they usually need relining or replacing.
Implant-retained dentures
Dentures that snap securely onto implants, reducing the movement and discomfort of conventional plates. We use Nobel Biocare implants, placed after careful assessment and 3D imaging.
Premium aesthetic dentures
High-grade teeth and gum-coloured bases crafted for the most lifelike, natural appearance. The shape, shade and arrangement of the teeth are chosen to suit your face.
Relines and repairs
We adjust, reline and repair dentures over time to keep the fit comfortable as your mouth changes. A reline reshapes the fitting surface to match your gums.
Soft-lined dentures
A cushioned lining for patients with sensitive or flat ridges, improving comfort during wear. Soft linings may need renewing more often than hard ones.
Step by step
Your denture journey
- 1
Assessment and impressions
We examine your gums and ridges, take RVG digital X-rays where needed and take accurate impressions to begin crafting a custom fit. You receive an itemised written estimate before work begins.
- 2
Bite registration
Your jaw relationship is recorded so the denture closes naturally and comfortably. We also note the length and fullness of your lips to guide tooth position.
- 3
Try-in and adjustments
You preview the shape and shade before the denture is finalised, and we refine it to your liking. If you would like a family member's opinion on the look, please ask us.
- 4
Fitting and aftercare
The finished denture is fitted and we guide you through wearing and caring for it confidently. We check the fit, your bite and any pressure points.
- 5
Review and fine-tuning
Sore spots are common in the first weeks. Short review visits let us ease them so the denture settles comfortably. Please tell us about any rubbing or looseness rather than waiting, as small adjustments are quick and make a real difference to how the denture feels.

Aftercare
Living with your new dentures
Getting used to dentures takes a little patience. These tips will help you settle in and keep your dentures comfortable for longer.
Start with soft foods
Begin with soft foods cut into small pieces and chew slowly on both sides at once. This helps keep the denture balanced while you build confidence.
Practise speaking
Reading aloud for a few minutes each day helps your tongue and cheeks adapt. Most speech changes settle within a few weeks.
Clean them every day
Remove and brush your dentures daily with a soft brush and denture cleaner, and rinse them after meals. Handle them over a folded towel or basin of water.
Rest your gums at night
Unless your dentist advises otherwise, take your dentures out overnight and store them in water. Gently brush your gums and tongue too.
Do not adjust them yourself
If something rubs or feels loose, avoid filing or bending the denture. Call or WhatsApp us and we will arrange an adjustment.
Keep up regular check-ups
Your gums and bone change over time. Regular visits let us check the fit and the health of your mouth, including your gums, tongue and the soft tissues of your cheeks. A loose denture can usually be relined rather than replaced.
